Its pressure-sensitive diaphragm combines the features of a conventional diaphragm and a reversible bell into a single surface:

• Without applying pressure on the area being examined, you'll hear low-frequency sounds (traditionally heard with the bell).
• By applying light pressure, you'll hear high-frequency sounds (traditionally heard with the diaphragm).
